The View from Pompey's Head plot
"NOT SINCE SCARLETT AND JEZEBEL HAS THE SOUTH PRODUCED SUCH A WOMAN!"
Anson Page, a lawyer from the South, leaves New York, his wife and his young children to travel to Georgia. His assignment is to investigate a money case of Garvin Wales, a famous writer, now almost blind and embittered. When he arrives in his native region, Page immediately discovers that he is being exposed to those things he had fled at the time: social and racial prejudice. But he also sees his former love Dinah again.
