The Third Miracle plot
Bystrica, Eastern Europe, 1944. As the battered German army moves out of the city, the Allied bombers approach. A 10-year-old girl prays with a small statue of the Virgin Mary in her hands to spare the city and its inhabitants. Her father and a young priest are stunned when the Allies' bombs, threatening to destroy Bystrica, miraculously miss their target. In 1979 Chicago, Father Frank Morris is researching religious miracles. Also included is the miraculous recovery of a young girl from a terminal illness after seeing a limestone statue of the Virgin Mary weeping tears of blood.
