The Devil's Arithmetic plot
"She saw the truth with her own eyes."
Every year, the Jewish girl Hannah Stern has to accompany her aunt to a gathering in memory of the Second World War. Hannah doesn't feel like it anymore and thinks that enough has been said about the war. Then something miraculous happens: Hannah enters a kind of time loop and ends up in a concentration camp during the war around 1941.
