The Boy from Indiana plot
"All the thrills and romance of the great outdoors!"
Lon Decker has aspirations to become a sports journalist. On one of his journeys, he comes across old man "Mac"Dougal. Mac bets on horses and is not averse to drugging horses here and there to ensure his winnings. Mac also owns the horse JoJo, which seems to have seen better days. But Jojo is a horse that can beat champions, although the owner prefers to keep it quiet, especially since he is putting JoJo in a race against an established thoroughbred. Before the race, JoJo is injured by a bull's horns.
