Terraferma plot
The island of Sicily has traditionally been an island of fishermen. The rise of tourism has a major effect on the behavior and habits of the islanders. The island is also overrun by illegal immigrants. The influential family of an old fisherman, a young woman with a dream of a better life and a growing young man... all are long-time residents of the island and they find themselves confronted with important decisions that will determine their future.
