Rose plot
The story takes place in the autumn of 1997. A group of tourists travels by bus from the provincial north of Denmark to Paris. Among them are two sisters, Inger and Ellen, whose relationship will be tested. The bus has barely hit the highway when Inger shares her mental illness with the rest of the party. It will be a journey they will never forget.

In September 1997 (shortly after the death of Lady Di), the schizophrenic Inger [Sofie Gråbøl] travels by bus from Denmark to Paris accompanied by her sister Ellen [Lene Maria Christensen] and his new wife Vagn [Anders W. Berthelsen]. Twenty years ago, Inger lived and worked here for a few years. It is the first time she has visited the city since then and she takes a mysterious letter with her in her bag. Inger's erratic behavior causes tension during the journey, but she finds a connection with 12-year-old Christian [Luca Riechardt Ben Coker] who decides to help Inger close a secret piece of the past. Excellently written, directed and acted family drama in which non-verbal communication is worth a thousand words. The only downside is the sentimental denouement.

I've seen Sofie Gråbøl in many roles, but never in a role like this one. How very good she is. In addition to drama, there is also quite a bit of humor in it. The entire cast sat like a glove, especially with Malling as the disturbing factor. Great atmosphere around a great story, based on true events. Super nice and rock solid movie.
