Romulus, My Father plot
Romulus (Eric Bana), a Romanian immigrant, tries to make the most of his life in the Australian countryside. To his 10-year-old son Rai he is a great hero, to his wife Christina (Franka Potente) he is a failure. Christina has left the family and lives in Melbourne. When she returns with her lover, a confusing and difficult period ensues for father and son. Romulus is holding out, but as Christina's mental state becomes more unstable, Rai sees his father turn into an emotional wreck. Is redemption possible?
