Réfractaire plot
François, a 21-year-old young man who has just completed his studies, returns to his hometown in Luxembourg in May 1940. The Nazis have just annexed Luxembourg and François' father collaborates with the fascist regime and demands that François do the same. But François does not want that and turns against his father. He refuses to fight with the Germans and is sent to the Russian Front to fight against the Allies. Instead, he chooses a clandestine life and joins other deserters, who hide in an abandoned mine, without seeing the light of day for many months and with the only hope of liberation.
