Civilized, but strong French thriller.

Harlan Coben film adaptation is surprising enough in terms of plot.

Beautifully filmed and there's even room for a thrilling chase on foot (and of The French Connection-esque allure).

Certainly one of the strongest thrillers of recent years and the fact that it is a French film makes it all a bit more European, more arthouse-like and less Hollywood-like than the Millennium trilogy.

More than two hours of top class and not a single annoying moment.

masterpiece.

Excellent film in which a man receives a strange e-mail, 8 years after the murder of his wife. An interesting and complex plot that is well put together. Entertaining throughout and the characters are believable. Furthermore, the film just looks good and also contains an exciting chase scene.

Indeed, you have to keep your attention there, but then it is doable. Excellent acting and nice to see Jean Rochefort again, an icon of a past generation of top French actors. But the story is very constructed, and that comes at the expense of credibility. I was annoyed by the annoyingly emphatic score of people who have to sing if necessary.
