Nae Meorisokui Jiwoogae

A film to fall in love with. It's a real tearjerker, but when it's executed so perfectly you won't hear me complaining. The story, the chemistry between the actors, the atmospheric music, many unforgettable scenes, etc. Nae Meorisokui Jiwoogae will stay with you.

The scene where Cheol-su puts on his sunglasses to cover his teary eyes… Impressive. It was also a good choice to keep the focus on the relationship between Cheol-Su and Su-jin, and Alzheimer's disease only really comes into play in the last quarter of the film. An excellent choice, because this way you sympathize with this couple even more. Ye-jin Son and Woo-sung Jung are great, and both know how to completely immerse the viewer in their love story.

I still confirm the many good things that have already been said about this. A film that could without any problem go into sentimental stuff, but never goes there due to a well-written screenplay, top actors as actors and behind the camera and a very successful soundtrack. The better work, without a doubt. I might do something (what, I have no idea) to make it a truly exceptional film, but that doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed it.

This has been on my list for a very long time. And to be honest, I'm a bit surprised by the very positive responses here. So for me there was certainly a slight disappointment after the end of the film.

I just thought it was overly tacky and sentimental. I even found the film quite unbalanced, with the part about Alzheimer's being tacked on. There was no deep or emotional discussion of the disease or how people suffered from it. Yes, with a lot of tears and some strings, but I expect more in a drama.

All in all, a smooth film. Very beautiful woman too and the acting was decent even though I found little chemistry between the two lovers. A film with varying thoughts for me. Neither mussels nor fish.
