Very good.

It had been a while since I had seen a movie that I was so sucked into. Just like Searching, again very well done, since you only get everything through a computer screen. Good twists, excellent soundtrack and for me just a great, exciting story. You won't be bored for a moment.

One plot hole towards the end. WhatsApp worked in the basement. Why then video call that guy and not just text her girlfriend? But that couldn't spoil the fun anymore.

A film from Sony but published by Universal, so the subtitles were fine again. Must have been quite a mess. Handy that all screen texts were yellow.

Big 9 from my side.

Missing

After 'Searching' I was also very curious about this film and it did not disappoint. From the start you are drawn into the story and try to think along with June to find out what happened to her mother. The fact that you once again get everything through her laptop/phone/cameras makes it unique in the sense that we see everything from her perspective. The movie was fast paced and never boring. The final outcome of the film is very difficult to predict and due to the many twists, the story remains very interesting and unpredictable.

I'd love to see more movies like this in the future.

3.5 stars.

Kind of kindred spirit of the film Searching from 2018, this time again with someone who investigates a disappearance via the computer and especially via social media. The plot is exciting and the film is visually ingenious, but at a certain point certain plot twists are so far-fetched that it can no longer be taken seriously. Directors Nicholas D. Johnson and Will Merrick, the editors of Searching by the way, go a bit crazy in their frantic attempts to continuously surprise the viewer.
