A film that I put off because I was sensitively afraid that this could become very intense.
Nouuuuu after seeing martyrs is violently weakly expressed pffff.
Man man man I'm used to a lot but this movie is a rollercoaster of disbelief and.....I don't even know what to call it. Thought 100 times and now I'm turning it off, I'm tired of this movie can't take it anymore. And yet keep watching...
The end of the movie also felt like giving birth, like I'd run 100km and made it to the finish line, like I had to hold my breath for two hours and now I could let go...I don't know.
What I do know is that I thought I wish I had NEVER seen this movie.....
But with that I thought that, the film got under my skin more and more and started to think more and more about what I had seen, you have to make yourself realize after seeing the film, give yourself time and put into perspective what you have seen and why, then I finally came to the true core and to the surprising conclusion: damn what a great movie this is!!!! Intense Very intense, but as a viewer you also need this to experience the unique soothing ending...

Powerful.
At the beginning I thought this was just going to be a very gore movie. Also, this was my first "Extreme French Period" movie. And it also gives me a big slap. What an incredible film, and so terribly gloomy.
All hope seems to have vanished in this dark rollercoaster ride. In the first part I was actually getting ready for a "scary demon movie" with a lot of scare moments. And with that ghoul it seemed to be heading in that direction as well.
When the second half came, the film took a different direction. The movie already got me with those pictures and every time you think "it won't get any worse" the movie goes a little further..
Towards the end I really had to recover, something I really rarely need. The film got me well, not with sadness, but with bewilderment. Highly recommended if you are REALLY ready, because this is certainly not a fun movie. But stoneware.
