Lu Mao Zi plot

Three boys are messing around on a Chinese beach and then commit a bank robbery. Then they split up. One of the boys wants to go to his girlfriend in the US. On his way to the airport, he stops at a phone shop to let her know he's coming - only to learn that his girlfriend now has another one. On his way out, he turns out to be surrounded by a police force. 'What is love?' is his surprising last question to the inspector in charge. The second part of the film has this inspector as the main character. He is cheated on by his unloving wife with a hung swimming instructor. When the woman's birthday is also ruined by the infidelity, the inspector enters into the inevitable confrontation.
