A relatively short film about the illegal, mostly Latin American day workers who are literally waiting for a job that falls out of the sky. They all gather at a specific place and wait for passers-by who have a job or chore to offer. Exploitation of the purest kind. It's a jungle and only the strongest survive. There are hardly any rights and all for a few dollars at the end of the day.

A robbery, homejacking or even murder on order is then a lot more lucrative. The social drama takes a turn towards crime halfway through. The sympathy or pity quickly fades. No idea how it was going to end. I, like many here, saw a lot of senseless violence, but this murder still came in. So pointless, so unnecessary, so hard...

Reminded me a bit of Haneke's Funny Games, partly because the foreplay is quite slow, waiting for that one climax where the clock can never be turned back. It seems that the film is not enjoyed by everyone here. I thought it was decent though.
