The hitchhiker Jimmy can ride with Carol Blane. Carol is being blackmailed and is on her way to her blackmailer. During a skirmish between the blackmailer and Carol, the blackmailer comes into contact with a high-voltage wire and is electrocuted. Jimmy, however, is considered the prime suspect by the police.
