This story is based on a portion of the Old Testament. The Philistines declare war on the Israelites and steal the Ark of the Covenant from them. The prophets tell Saul, the new king of Israel, that a new king is coming, a young shepherd named David. But David will have to defeat the giant Goliath before he can be crowned king.
