Not bad at all. This coming-of-age film produced by Toledano & Nakache leans cinematically towards the work of the Dardennes. It got me along effortlessly, although the film's content was somewhat hesitant between political system criticism and a portrait of an abandoned youth.

Zoé and Volta are two cousins who leave their Kosovar village to study in Pristina and start their future plans. They meet a few other young people there and the once close bond between the two girls slowly starts to crumble: it is time for each of them to choose their own path in life. The hopeless Kosovar economic mess also plays a role on the sidelines, because due to the unfavourable prospects in terms of education they will have to learn to deal with uncertainties if they want to get ahead in life.

The film is definitely well acted and has something to say, but due to the lack of strong scenes it does not leave an indelible impression. For me somewhere between 3 and 3.5*.
