Zhishi Yici Ouran De Lüxing plot
A young woman arrives in the Tibetan capital Lhasa. As a pilgrim, she says, but she doesn't really know why she is here. The pain of loss has brought her to Lhasa, and she still doesn't know what to do with the pain. Whatever her plan, everything changes when she sees a lobster in an aquarium that is far too small at her hotel restaurant. It is a sacred lobster, assures the ministry.

Delicious.
My interest in Chinese cinema has waned somewhat in recent years, the whirlwind there has also subsided somewhat. Each part has now found its identity, which has made it all a lot more boring and predictable.
But every now and then there are of course some gems, like this film. Arthouse road movie, but with light genre elements and more modern touches. For example, it was shot in black and white, but visually it is still very neatly finished, and there is also a strong splash of color every now and then. The soundtrack and acting are also very strong, although it is clearly a bit more secondary.
Beautiful film, watched with fascination from start to finish. Li clearly has talent, I wonder if she can continue this trend.
