Allonsanfàn plot
An Italian nobleman (Fulvio Imbriani), who is a member of a revolutionary group, becomes disillusioned with the Restoration in 1816. He longs to finally stop his radical activities and therefore wants to break with his comrades. However, the indecisive Fulvio dares not confront his fellow combatants. He flees from them and tries to make a fresh start, reconnecting with people from his past. But the Brothers do not leave him alone and make it impossible for him to start a new life. Unaware of his turnaround, they count on his commitment to their upcoming project. The armed idealists want to go to the south of Italy to start a new revolution among the peasantry.
