All That's Left of You plot
1948. Sharif is a resident of Jaffa who owns an orange grove that has been in his family for generations. During the mass expulsion of Palestinians during the First Arab-Israeli War, his family is forced to flee without him. While trying to defend their country, Sharif is arrested and sent to a labor camp for months before finally being allowed to rejoin his family after suffering a heart attack. It is a joyful reunion, but it is already clear that they will probably never return home. Thirty years later, Sharif lives with his son Salim and his wife Hanan. Salim and Hanan try to raise their children safely and happily, hoping to avoid the fate that befell Sharif so many years ago.
