Nice movie. What a strong and brave girl, and what a sweet family she has. I think it's an interesting documentary that managed to take me along in the story. Nice and finely presented, not cold or distant. I didn't necessarily need the voice-over, but it didn't bother me either. Beautiful soundtrack by Sia. 4*

Nice.

Fairly average but sympathetic documentary. The setting and the country appeal to me, but it doesn't really get very deep or compelling. But the steppes of Mongolia are a very rewarding backdrop and hunting on horseback and with an eagle is of course also adventurous enough to keep things lively.

I love birds of prey. When I see one near us in the plain, a buzzard, I always stop in amazement. Also on my way to the summer Alps I always look fascinated - trying to ensure my safety and that of my passengers - at the beautiful red kites that circulate above us.

This documentary offers more than just training with golden eagles. It also offers some women's emancipation. Because hunting with eagles is actually a man's business. Against the advice of many prominent figures in authority, a father trains his talented daughter to be an eagle huntress. A beautiful portrait in which nature and culture come together beautifully.

Breathtaking at times. A feel good show too, because the sacrifices and the moments when things could go wrong are not really shown. Like it was all a piece of cake. A little too easy and not very deep in that area. However, the wild nature and views make up for it.
