Patience (After Sebald) plot
The starting point for 'Patience' is WG Sebald's book The Rings of Saturn, a description of his long walk through East Anglia. The film follows Sebald's path, but just like in the book, the images of the landscape and the places the author encountered are cause for reflection. Some twenty writers, artists and other creatives, including authors Rick Moody and Iain Sinclair, theater director Katie Michell, and artists Tacita Dean and Lise Patt, talk about the impact Sebald's work has had on them. They also give their interpretation of the book, which, in addition to a registration of a walk, is a journey through the horrors of the twentieth century.
