Kidnapped! plot

"The bizarre story of a group of Japanese citizens kidnapped by North Korean spies."

Inexplicably, a number of young Japanese disappeared in broad daylight in the 1970s and 1980s. Over time, more and more evidence emerged that they had been kidnapped by North Korea in order to teach North Korean spies the Japanese language. "Kidnapped" reconstructs the abductions, the accounts of several desperate parents and the attempt to return the abductees and their relatives to Japan, which is slowly becoming a very sensitive national and international issue, based on archival images and testimonials.
