Jodorowsky's Dune plot
"The greatest science fiction movie never made."
From 1974, director Alejandro Jodorowsky tried to collect money and resources to be able to film Frank Herbert's 'Dune'. The film should last fourteen hours and the bands Pink Floyd and Magma would be responsible for the soundtrack. Salvador Dali, Orson Welles, Mick Jagger, Herve Villachaize and David Carradine were cast for various roles. The ambitious project collapsed after two years, but the team of hitherto unknown concept developers that Jodorowsky had gathered around him would change modern science fiction forever.
