Joanna Lumley in the Land of the Northern Lights plot

Joanna Lumley, best known as the cocaine-snorting alcoholic Patsy in "Absolutely Fabulous," travels to the Arctic Circle to see the Northern Lights. Lumley grew up in tropical Malaysia and as a child she could only fantasize about frost and snow. Her favorite children's book was "Ponny the Penquin," a book with black-and-white illustrations of a penguin surrounded by the Northern Lights. As a child she therefore dreamed of traveling to the farthest point of the north, and now she has the chance to realize this childhood dream and see it come true: to see the northern lights once.
