Heaven Adores You plot

“I will never be a big rock star. Not that I'm trying to avoid that. But I'm not the right person to be big and famous," singer-songwriter Elliot Smith said in a televised interview. Maybe he was right, this documentary seems to say. For over an hour and a half, friends, family and colleagues from the music world talk about who Elliot was before he became known for his soundtrack for the film Good Will Hunting, how life went after that and what it did to him. After the success with the band Heatmiser in Portland, Smith left for New York, where he eventually became that big rock star. In 2003, he was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment.
