Deep Water plot

The story of Donald Crowhurst, an electronics scientist, who decides to participate in the very first sailing race around the Earth, in the 1960s. The sailors pass their coordinates on to the race management, and it soon becomes apparent that Crowhurst has an enormous leadership taken in the race. As the race progresses, he becomes the favorite of the press and the public, partly due to his great performance. But once at the finish, the true unimaginable cause of his stellar performance becomes apparent.
