Special documentary about Andrew Bagby who was murdered by his ex-girlfriend, who would give birth to his child a few months later. The whole thing looks like a quickly edited, sensational thriller with a number of shocking revelations. For example, the scenes in which Andrew Bagby's parents have to make visitation arrangements for their grandchild with their son's murderer are absurd.

Since this documentary was made by a friend of the deceased, and only family and friends speak, Andrew is portrayed as a god. He must have been a suitable guy, but the maker, somewhat understandably, goes too far in this.

That shitty browser... you can start typing all over again.

Very strong and moving (self) documentary. With some pretty intense scenes, especially those of grandpa and grandma. Strong editing (sometimes a bit amateurish, but it provided a good pace). Just when it's starting to sink in a little, that blow suddenly comes. From there, the documentary was one big rollercoaster of emotions. And then there is that little bit of hope at the end of the tunnel. Beautiful.

There was also a piece about how the people on the first page could appreciate this little gem and some pushback for the naive on the second page, but the backspace button heartlessly put an end to that.

I would like to mention this: how can you call it 'in your face' as a point of criticism? It is precisely the lesson of all that bullshit that has come over them. No one listens except to those who shout the loudest.

In any case, apparently a lot of people are used to rougher things.

Very personal, often moving documentary by director Kurt Kuenne about the murder of his best friend Andrew Bagby. Kuenne decided to make this documentary for Bagby's son Zachary, to remember his father, whom he would never know. However, the project gradually turns out to be much more than that and a number of heartbreaking developments follow. A major disadvantage is the ADHD editing style, which means that as a viewer you are often on the verge of dropping out, if the story were not so emotionally charged and compelling. In my opinion, this could have been much better with a more calm narrative style, but in the end the story is very special.
