The Offence plot
"After 20 years, what detective-sergeant Johnson has seen and done is destroying him."
Detective Sergeant Johnson has been a police officer for 20 years. During this time, he has investigated countless murders, rapes and other crimes. All these years he has managed to suppress his anger and aggression, but when he interrogates a man suspected of assaulting young girls, something inside him snaps. Johnson begins to mistreat the man during the interrogation, revealing that his mental health is not much better than the perpetrators of all those cases he's been investigating over the years.
