The Gentleman from Nowhere plot
"SEEKING VENGEANCE...WOULD HE FIND LOVE...or MURDER?"
In New York, security guard Earl Donovan is injured in a nighttime shootout with thieves attempting to steal a batch of valuable fur. While police dismiss the possibility that this robbery was an "inside job," FB Barton, an investigator with the insurance company responsible for the fur, suspects Donovan was somehow involved in the robbery. Barton's suspicions are further strengthened when he comes across the resemblance between Donovan and Robert Ashton, a chemist who has been missing for seven years.
