After 'Easy Rider' another good film by Hopper. 'The Hot Spot', also very nice, would come later from this best man. 'Colors' has a nice cast (Duvall and Penn are of course very good), is a fairly standard movie - only this time it's the rookie who tries hard to enforce the law and it's the old one who tries to be smart. to be. The effect is entertaining. Nice 80s Los Angeles atmosphere. It doesn't get big anywhere, Hopper doesn't really convince in terms of drama either, but 'Colors' is just a great print to see in between. Nice that real gang members participated.

Great film that delivers what it promises. Now Sean Penn and Robert Duvall are of course not very popular actors and that is clearly visible in this film. Both gentlemen play the role of cops in Los Angeles and of course in rather marked slums where things can sometimes get rough. And also in this story, I think this is a fair representation of LA police life in the gang areas.

Well acted, great story and location.

Valuation; a 7.5.

The wisdom, calm, and experience of the cop played by Robert Duvall versus his colleague, the "young dog" played by Sean Penn, are well fleshed out in this film. I enjoyed their playing and the realistic situations and characters.
