Bella Mafia plot

"Hell hath no fury like the women of..."

Once the mob bosses Luciano and Carolla were close friends. After a business quarrel and frustrated by Luciano's private happiness, Carolla gruesomely murders Luciano's son. Twenty long years pass, with Luciano bent on revenge. When he seems to have Carolla in the pliers, however, she hits back hard. He manages to have all the male Lucianos slaughtered in one night. Three generations of men have been wiped out in one fell swoop. Now something is happening that has never been seen before in mafia circles. The women swear revenge and take up arms themselves. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, nothing to lose and driven by their unassailable Italian pride.

nothing more than an ordinary B-movie with all the necessary soap and B-ingredients.

I wasn't expecting much from it, but I'm still slightly disappointed.

A film about mafia in which the women mainly play the leading role is something special, but it did not become what it could become.

When the first names appear on the image, the images behind them seem promising: grieving women who sometimes have a knife, a rope, a gun or poison in their hands. You think: 'Great man! Women going to kill mob bosses on their own !can only be cool !' That's what I expected. But it's still women in a TV movie who don't do anything daring, but who do provide the necessary drama...

That's why nowhere exciting or very violent, but probably the latter could not have been possible because since it is a TV movie (according to imdb) they had to keep calm about violence.

I thought the cast came across well enough, although it consisted mainly of B actors except Vanessa Redgrave. God knows why she did this...

The images and colors of Sicily are beautiful to look at, but that's about it. Other than that, I haven't seen a lot of really nice scenes.

Once again typical ultra-dramatic mafia music. Not disturbing in The Godfather and even beautiful, that could have been done here too if they hadn't used the music every two minutes.

Mediocre and long-winded film about 'life if you belong to the mafia'. That could well have been part of the plot instead of that thriller-like description.

A film full of references to The Godfather. Even the son of the family is called Michael... In itself it is an original idea to leave the women in power, but the whole thing is poorly executed. You don't get the thrill and epic of a mafia movie anywhere. With the low budget, a generally B-cast is also aimed at. Especially that actor of Luka is a very irritating actor. He really brings down parts of the film very strongly.

Maybe I am the wrong target audience and this is meant as an alternative to the mafia films aimed at women. Or was it meant to be a run-of-the-mill version for TV. In any case, far from a classic, although in general it was still nice to watch. Especially towards the end it was a bit better, except for the puss Luka.

It was better than expected but still not the best.

It was not always exciting and acting was a bit weak.

For the rest there was a reasonable mafia atmosphere.
