Very Annie Mary plot
"One can dream, can't one?"
When Annie Mary was 16 years old she was offered a scholarship to sing in Milan. She was not allowed to go because her mother died. Annie Mary is now 33 years old and she no longer sings. Her life is ruled by her strict father, who sees himself as a new Pavarotti. As she tries to break free from her father's terrorizing hand, the entire village becomes involved in her wish to send her terminally ill friend, 16-year-old Bethan Bevan, to Disneyland. When Annie Mary loses all the money raised in horse races, everyone turns against her. Until she is asked to sing again...
