The Twinkle in God's Eye plot

Reverend Macklin is on his way to Lodestone, the town where his father was murdered when the Native Americans burned down the church. He plans to rebuild the church so that services can be held. But Macklin is more concerned with the Silver Palace Saloon, where he tries to convince people to stop gambling, much to owner Callahan's dismay. Callahan offers Macklin to pay for the church's construction if he stays away from the saloon. Macklin refuses. Callahan is robbed by a gang and they hide the money in the altar of the church. Macklin is ordered to move to San Diego because of his lack of claims in Lodestone. He needs a miracle to keep him where he is.
