Thought it was quite doable.

Not that big of a difference from the first film, except that there was a small pivot in the cast. The more famous actors have smaller roles or are gone, the supporting roles from the first film are now allowed to appear in front of the camera a bit more.

The fun and freshness is generally also a bit less than in part 1, although that could also be because I watched the films rather quickly after each other. A bit more time in between would probably have been better, since it all looks very similar.

Story is completely nonsensical of course, but it all looks quite fresh, it is brought with sufficient energy and the styling also has something wild. If it is for children or young girls, I still find it a lot less cheesy than American versions that I envision for such target groups.

Most entertaining nonsense. No great cinema of course, but just smooth entertainment.

Part 2.

And one of the exceptions to the rule that a sequel is less than the original. It's already great that almost the entire original cast is returning, even if in some cases it's a bit of a cameo - Arterton for example has hardly any screentime, and with that ugly wig she gets to wear that's actually for the best.

Still, the film does a lot of things exactly right, maybe even a tad better than the first part. A lot of 'woke' humor for example, and I like that - after all, we get too much bragging from the opposition these days, so it can't be woke enough for me. The bard is a bird, I think it's very nicely found.
