When clumsy Marcel is thrown from his apartment early in the morning by his girlfriend, without shoes or pants and his coffee cup still in his hand, his first impulse is suicide. On reflection, he decides to go to his favorite hotel. However, his usual room is occupied by reporter Catherine. To impress her, he tells her a story that he would own the company where he works and become a billionaire.
