This low score gives me murderous tendencies. Can't believe this director's films are getting such low ratings here on the site. Both Hairspray, Cry Baby and this film are very nice comedies I thought. John Waters knows how to fool the dragon with a good dose of humor & a big wink
with petty bourgeois life in America and the hypocrisy of the 'decent' citizen.

Entertaining bit of movie! Nicely over the top and told at a nice pace. Kathleen Turner also plays her part very nicely and the situations get more and more bizarre as the film progresses.
Fine comedy and parody as far as I'm concerned, leave that to Mr. Waters.
