Clumsy busboy Myron Mertz is always protected by nightclub singer Larry Todd. Larry breaks off his romance with the beautiful entertainer Carmelita Castinha when he realizes that she is the girlfriend of a murderous and jealous mobster. While on the run, Larry mistakenly believes he killed one of the mobsters. Larry is helped to escape the police by the heiress Maria Caroll. She smuggles Larry and his comrade Myron to Cuba. Maria has inherited a haunted castle on a remote island, but she ignores the ominous warnings and threats and decides to enter the castle. The trio soon find out that mobsters are hunting for a hidden treasure, which is said to be in the castle and they also encounter a murderous ghost.
