One of my favorite movies of all time. One with a typical 80s atmosphere that I love and which also meant quite a lot in those days.
So I've watched this several times and it never bores me. This is due to the fun story which undoubtedly later led to the Home Alone films, the scenes that turned into real classics (the underpants dance, the Ray-Ban moments) and of course the strong soundtrack with music by Prince, Muddy Waters and Phil Collins. .
So very good movie! Definitely watch.

Nice. You can immediately see why Tom Cruise has become such a big movie star, and he has some iconic scenes in Risky Business. It is also really an 80s teen movie, with another teenager who rebels against his parents and goes on an adventure.
Risky Business is reminiscent of films like Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Home Alone, and Joel is another teenager who doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. But within a few days, his whole life is turned upside down. De Mornay is also on a roll and she has a fine chemistry with Cruise. Together with the wonderful music, the light-hearted coming of age story and Cruise and Ray-Ban sunglasses, it makes for an entertaining teenage film.
