Enrico, Peppe and Angelo Frattasio are three brothers from Forcella, a neighborhood in Naples. The former has a passion for music and would like to become a DJ, but his lack of appeal and his shy nature prevent him from trying. He consoles himself by mixing compilations for friends and clients, using the tape recorders in the electrical appliance store where he works. When the store closes, Enrico decides to turn his compilations into a real job. First he opens a shop where he makes personalized cassettes for the residents of the neighborhood, later he and Peppe decide to ask a local boss for a loan to purchase advanced audio recorders with which he can copy many cassettes in a short time. It doesn't take long for the police to catch up with them.

Light-hearted drama – inspired by a true story – about Enrico Frattasio (“Erry”) and his brothers, who in the 1990s in Italy (and gradually beyond) became immensely popular and wealthy by copying all kinds of music on audio cassettes. Who hasn't done that, say, 20, 30 years ago? No coincidence that this illegal practice flourished in Naples. There was and is often closed a blind eye. A fun film with an unmissable hilarious final scene (hidden in the credits).

Great film about what every young person did in the 70's and 80's. Compose cassette tapes with music. This true story gives a good picture of life at that time, especially in the 80's, unemployment in Europe was enormous. And to then turn music copying into such an empire is quite impressive. The acting is impressive, the whole thing comes across as believable, and the police inspector also plays with verve. Entertaining and relaxing

The film started out very amateurish and for a moment I had the intention to close it, but I watched it anyway and I have to say that the film gets much better. Initially I had the idea to watch a film of the level of the time period it was set in, being the 70s. Filmographically very substandard. The acting performances also did not captivate me, but still, once you get to the 80s, it all turns out well. Perhaps it was also the intention of the director. Anyway, just persevere and the film will only get better. The story itself is nice because it really happened and heralds the beginning of what we now know as piracy. So in itself a nice piece of history. It is completely Italian and I do not know the actors, but they do not do badly.
It's certainly not a top film, but considering it really happened, it's worth watching. 3.5*
