Lying to Be Perfect plot
Nola, Deb and Nancy are best friends who make a pact. All three want to lose weight and will therefore follow the advice of newspaper columnist Belinda Apple. What Deb and Nancy don't know, however, is that Nola is the author of the "Apple" column. Nola tries to hide this as best she can so as not to lose the trust of her friends. As the column gains more readers and becomes hugely popular, Nola is forced to reveal the truth.
