Kingkongeul Deulda plot

Ji-bong Lee is a former bronze medalist weightlifting at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, but a serious injury at the Games forces him to retire from his career early. He is unable to find another sport, due to the lack of any support from the Korean Olympic Committee, and so he ends up penniless in the gutter. He ends up as an employee handing out flyers from some shady nightclub. Until one day he is visited by his former coach who urges him to start as a high school coach in Boseong, a rural area in the southwest of the Korean peninsula. There he forms a weightlifting team that consists of a group of outcasts.
