Molly arrives at her ex-boyfriend's house just after a man is murdered there. She comes to collect her things and between the cassette tapes that she puts in her bag is the recording of the entire event, but she does not know that. When the real culprit then tries to get her out of the way, she pulls out a gun and shoots him. The police now suspect her of the murder. One of the judges remembers her from school. He used to be madly in love with her, but he keeps it quiet. He wants to help her and therefore decides to push the law aside.
