When a presidential candidate dies unexpectedly mid-campaign, the Democratic Party must rush to find a new candidate. Their choice falls on Mays Gilliam (Chris Rock). Gilliam's older brother becomes his running mate.

Accidentally seen on TV, unfortunately. I think Chris Rock and Bernie Mac are the two most annoying people on the planet.
Although I've been madly annoyed and decided never again to watch a movie where Mr. rock or mr. Mac, I had to laugh a little bit a few times. Maybe that's why I rate him a little too high, and I gave him one and a half stars. Extremely generous afterwards, but hey, I'm in a good mood.

One of the lesser films in which Chris Rock plays the lead. Some scenes are quite funny and I got a smile several times. Unfortunately, it was just a smile. The story is quite predictable and of course a bit too ridiculous. Still, it was all okay and it is a suitable film where you can multi-task.
As a director, Chris Rock really misses the point with this film. In the beginning of the film, when it rains you do indeed see the sprinklers in the window. I also found the use of music very moderate. The songs weren't always that bad but some times when it was used it was.

Pretty weak film, which is almost a complete one-man show. Chris Rock stars in this film, while also writing the script for the film, directing and producing the film.
The main problem with the film is its lack of humor. Something that is often disastrous in a comedy, also with this one. The humor of the film is often bland and often not fun. That's also because of Rock, who is often very busy and also comes across that way. Another positive point is the supporting characters. Bernie Mac comes out nicely and Givens is also quite funny as the crazy ex-wife. Furthermore, the film also lacks the balance and sometimes doesn't know how to make a choice between being serious and funny.
