While part 1 was fun and charming, I found part 2 painfully bad and unfunny. I can't imagine that much of the story is true. The dialogues are bad and much of the acting is pathetic. Especially the characters of the record label.

The sequel to the successful biography of a group of fishermen from a Cornish village who gained international fame for their interpretation of old sea shanties is a big disappointment. Jim [James Purefoy] vents his grief over the death of his father, Jago [David Hayman], one of the founders of Fisherman's Friends, during a performance that is essentially an audition for a record company. With his rude behavior, the group can whistle for a follow-up to their successful debut album and they can live up to their dream of performing at Glastonbury Music Festival. Then Aubrey Flynn [Imelda May], a fallen rock star with an alcohol problem, shows up and of course I'm not giving away that it's all going to be okay. A meager story that is only brightened up by the interludes in which the men do what they clearly do best: sing sea shanties. In other words: rather buy the album!
