Finding Your Feet plot

"Everyone Deserves a Second Dance"

Lady Sandra Abbott is on the eve of her retirement. She discovers at a party that her husband is having an affair with her best friend after 40 years of marriage and seeks shelter with her estranged older sister Bif. Bif lives in a run-down house in the inner city. Sandra is completely different from her outspoken free-spirited sister who often goes on dates. That turns out to be exactly what Sandra also needs.

Saw it at the cinema today. I think it is a beautiful film with humor, joy and conviviality, but also seriousness and sadness. I think it's well balanced. I like the story and the acting too. At times I found it very predictable, but that didn't really bother me. I left feeling better than I went in, and that's always a good sign. I'm glad I saw this movie. 3.5*

To the point of being sentimental, a lot of lame jokes, but nevertheless many times better than any Dutch rom-com. The story is as predictable as can be, but that doesn't really bother you.

That first shot of that residential area, from a bird's eye view, those enormous houses and gardens, my goodness, what wealth! Yet it is actually sad and sad when you consider that there are currently more than a hundred thousand children in England without a roof over their heads.

I think a feel-good movie covers it all. In any case, I always had a smile on my face.

Finding Your Feet I find British humor to give shape to a clichéd film almost always successful. Especially with this cast. The story is also presented at a nice pace with great care. Above all, don't take it seriously (although the messages are certainly well-founded) and enjoy it, it certainly won't disappoint.
