Mediocre film about a musical duo who want to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. Beautiful images of, among other things, the surroundings of Iceland. Entertaining characters filled in by a fun cast. But just like the real Eurovision Song Contest, this film takes too long. Funny here and there, but mostly on the bland side.

All in all, I started this film with two handicaps. First of all, I'm absolutely not a fan of Will Ferrell and secondly, it's been many, many years since I've watched the Eurovision Song Contest again.

Despite all that, the film pleasantly surprised me. Ferrell plays himself again in his usual annoying way, but otherwise it is a cheerful film with a nice background story and a handful of fun musical intermezzos. I honestly had a good time.
