Stays good.

Even on the third viewing, the deluge of clichés, stereotypes and adolescent humor can make me giggle.

The various passages are fairly evenly distributed, but the beginning, Amsterdam and Rome at the end stand out.

The cast itself is quite replaceable. Scott Mechlodinges has a dull appearance, Michelle Trachtenberg looks much better in 2012, and Jacob Pitts is not greasy and asshole enough for his role.

Then I think the guest appearances are more successful. Matt Damon puts down just about his best role ever, Lucy Lawless plays the SM mistress and Vinnie Jones can again play the noisy hooligan.

Don't expect an adult, sharp comedy, but an adolescent, flat road movie and you won't be disappointed, because this is one of the good kind.

3.5

One of the best of its kind. Not very original, not a great acting performance, but humor that touched me and made me laugh several times.

I may be 31 and sometimes wonder when I'll finally grow up, but at other times I'm happy to still have enough childishness and to enjoy some enormously adolescent humor as in this movie, but adolescent in the fun way. Without any shame, Europe is made fun of and prejudices are greatly magnified. But it helps that the cast is on a roll with a lot of fun and good timing that makes most of the jokes catch on. It's really a succession of skits, some of which are a bit less, but most of them are just great fun. Sometimes very wrong, sometimes very predictable, but in the flow of such a film that works quite well. Visually nice at times with funny details, especially where the dinner tables serve as a map of Europe. 4.0*.
