Drowning by Numbers plot
Three generations of women, a mother, her daughter and her niece - all named Cissie Colpitts - have had disappointing experiences with their husbands and that is one reason to drown them. The local police officer, a passionate player named Madgett, investigates the murder. He sets a trap to expose the killer women. The story is accompanied by numbers from one to a hundred and appear on the screen throughout the film.
