Steve and Doug Butabi are from Roxbury. They try to get into the best disco there, and also hope to start their own club someday. Vivica, a supermodel looking for money, and her friend Cambi try to rid the boys of their money. However, they find out that there is little to gain from the two.

Coincidentally came across this movie through this movie: What is love Jim Carrey original! - YouTube with Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell.
I actually thought A Night At The Roxbury was quite funny. I wasn't even annoyed by the frequent use of "What is love". In fact, it fit in well with the story. The elevator version made me chuckle. Nice to see the very wrong 90's dance classics passing by.
Nice movie to watch once.

In the style of Dumb & Dumber (1994), this is also an entertaining comedy starring Will Ferrell, among others.
This was the first film for Eva Mendes, and the last film for Loni Anderson. The story contains some nice references to other movies and TV series. The best known are "21 Jump Street ", "Cheers " and the same dance by Doug and Steve from My Blue Heaven (1990).
Characteristic is a nice soundtrack that we all had something to do with. In addition, the cast is nicely composed. (Including a short scene with Jennifer Coolidge AKA Stifler's Mom). To be clear, the direction was largely provided by John Fortenberry. With the exception of a few scenes directed by Amy Heckerling.

Mediocre film in which two brothers prefer to start their own nightclub. The already simple story does not manage to keep the attention of the already short playing time. There is quite a bit of laughter here and there, but in general the humor is pretty bland. The music is well chosen and Will Ferrell has clearly improved later in his career.
